Martina Balic is a lecturer in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She has been teaching Engineering Graphics courses as well as Engineering Mechanics - Statics and Dynamics. Her background is in structural engineering, focusing on bridge design. She obtained her BSCE and MSCE from University of Zagreb, Croatia. She worked at Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Zagreb and at the Croatian Institute for Bridges and Structures where she was involved in teaching and bridge design projects. She joined graduate program at Rutgers University, New Jersey, where she received her second MSCE degree. She taught Statics and Strength of Materials at the Southern Polytechnic State University (presently Kennesaw State University) as a lecturer. Martina Balic has been teaching at Georgia Institute of Technology since 2014.
Marina Balic teaches Engineering Graphics classes. She has been developing Engineering Graphics classes specifically tailored for CEE students. These classes incorporate CAD software into learning Engineering Graphics, focusing on AutoCAD and Civil 3D. She also taught Engineering Mechanics classes (Statics and Dynamics).
