Roger Mock awarded 2010-11 AISC scholarship

The American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) recently awarded 24 scholarships/fellowships for the Roger Mock2010-2011 academic year.  These prestigious awards are given in association with members of the structural steel industry to students across the country.  Roger Mock, a senior in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, was recognized for the second year in a row for his outstanding academic accomplishments. 

Roger received the W&W AFCO Steel Fund scholarship from the AISC Education Foundation.  This scholarship includes $5,000 to be used by Roger for the upcoming school year.  He adds, “It is a great honor to win this scholarship from such a large institution in the engineering community."  After graduation, Roger intends to further his education at Georgia Tech and says this scholarship will be very helpful in reaching that goal.
