Joe S. Mundy Global Learning Experience Endowment Fund

The Joe S. Mundy Global Learning Experience Endowment Fund has been established to allow selected CEE students the opportunity to participate in an international experience during their enrollment at Georgia Tech1.  The objective of these educational and cultural experiences is to provide learning that increases the potential for students to be leaders in a global community and add value to the participating students’ degrees.  Undergraduate students will be given priority in decisions to support travel, although there may be reason to support travel of eligible graduate students and faculty, particularly when accompanying undergraduates.

Application:
The requirements set forth are:

  1. Participants must be American citizens in good academic standing, who are majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering or who are part of an ongoing research project within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology
  2. A two-page letter detailing travel plans, goals and expected outcomes of travel, and a complete budget of expected costs (i.e., air fare, visas, lodging, etc.).

Application package should be emailed to Professor Donald Webster (dwebster@ce.gatech.edu), CEE Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies.

Applications will be reviewed by the CEE Awards Committee twice a semester and recommendations will be given to Joe Hughes, Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering for final approval.

For further inquiries, please email Laurie A. Somerville, Director of Development, School of CEE, Georgia Institute of Technology (laurie.somerville@ce.gatech.edu).
