Undergraduate Information

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

The four-year curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.S.C.E.) enables the graduate to enter professional practice as an engineer or to continue his or her studies in programs leading to advanced degrees in the following broad fields of specialization: environmental engineering, environmental fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, hydrology, materials, structural and engineering mechanics, transportation, and water resources planning and management. The graduate of the B.S.C.E. curriculum may function in the areas of planning and design, construction, research and development, operations, and maintenance. The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Graduates of the B.S.C.E. curriculum are eligible to seek licensing as registered professional engineers.

Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering

The curriculum of the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering (B.S.Env.E.) is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge of scientific disciplines and engineering principles that are used to address emerging environmental issues such as sustainable air, water, and land resources; human health; and environmental restoration. The curriculum is designed to provide fundamental knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics applied to environmental engineering systems, such as biological processes, sustainability, air pollution, water resources.  The curriculum provides students with the flexibility to develop tailored sequences of electives to meet individual education and career objectives, while ensuring a comprehensive engineering design experience.  The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering degree is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Graduates of the B.S.Env.E. curriculum are eligible to seek licensing as registered professional engineers.
