Research Laboratories
Civil and environmental engineering is a broad and diverse engineering discipline that works on many facets of improving the human condition. The construction of all things big and small are long-standing examples of civil engineering projects from clean drinking water, to designing and implementing efficient and safe transportation systems, to constructing buildings and bridges that survive seismic activity, to building dams for hydropower and flood control.
Today, our professors are working on problems that go far beyond these traditional areas to provide growing populations with innovative solutions needed to survive in a global society. CEE faculty members collaborate across disciplines, schools, and colleges, utilizing state of the art technologies to advance the field of civil and environmental engineering. Below is a list of research laboratories within the School, sorted by research affinity group, name of lab, and name of faculty member.
