Dr. Ioannis Brilakis: CITL Research
This video sequence contains a compilation of results from various research projects taking place within the Construction Information Technology Laboratory (CITL) at Georgia Tech. Assistant Professor Ioannis Brilakis is developing low-cost, machine vision sensor systems and algorithms to capture structural data and convert it to a 3D virtual model. These electronic models document a structure's visual/geometrical properties, material composition, and condition data. This sequence shows column recognition, pothole recognition, and tracking results of construction workers, equipment, and vehicles.
