Brandon Strellis, a senior in CEE who is graduating in August, recently returned from an extended research internship in Norway. This trip was made possible with the help of the Mundy Global Learning Experience Endowment Fund. Watch a brief video recorded from the top of Evil Mountain.

Dr. Ioannis Brilakis: CITL Research

This video sequence contains a compilation of results from various research projects taking place within the Construction Information Technology Laboratory (CITL) at Georgia Tech. Assistant Professor Ioannis Brilakis is developing low-cost, machine vision sensor systems and algorithms to capture structural data and convert it to a 3D virtual model. These electronic models document a structure's visual/geometrical properties, material composition, and condition data. This sequence shows column recognition, pothole recognition, and tracking results of construction workers, equipment, and vehicles.
