BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ching-Hua Huang received her B.S. degree in chemistry from National Taiwan University in 1990, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in environmental engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1994 and 1997, respectively. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California Berkeley for two years before joining Georgia Tech as an assistant professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2000. Dr. Huang's research and teaching interests are in the area of environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry and water treatment. For more than six years, she has been actively involved in research on emerging contaminants such as endocrine disruptors, pharmaceutical pollutants and disinfection by-products in natural and engineered water systems. She has published a number of peer-reviewed publications on these emerging issues and has been the invited speaker at the Gordon Research Conference in 2004 for her work.
