The Spanos scholarship was created to reward both Academic Excellence overall in Civil Engineering as well as Academic Excellence and commitment to the Construction Industry.

The Bobby L. Johnson Scholarship was formed in honor of Ms. Bobby L. Johnson, a long time supporter of Georgia Tech and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

F. Everett Williams Scholarship

The F. Everett Williams Scholarship was established in honor of Mr. Williams who is a CE Alum from 1956. The recipient of the F. Everett Williams Scholarship is to be awarded to outstanding CEE undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. There is a preference for students from Georgia or Northern Virginia.

G. Ben Turnipseed Scholarship

The G. Ben Turnipseed Scholarship was established by Mr.& Mrs. Turnipseed. Ben Turnipseed is a 1969 grad of Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and is president/CEO of G. Ben Turnipseed Engineers in Atlanta. The G. Ben Turnipseed Scholarship recipients are awarded to outstanding undergraduate students in CEE demonstrating financial need. Preference is given to students from Georgia.

George S. Mooney Scholarship

The George S. Mooney Scholarship was formed in memory of Mr. Mooney who was a 1931 GT CE grad. Mr. Mooney was a long time employee of Post Buckley Schuh & Jernigan, Inc. (PBS&J). The George G. Mooney Scholarship is given to an outstanding undergraduate student demonstrating financial need.

John Webb Spratlin Scholarship

The John Webb Spratlin Scholarship was instituted by Mr. Spratlin who is a 1973 graduate of CE at Tech. The recipient of the John Webb Spratlin Scholarship is given to an outstanding student demonstrating financial need that is preferably an incoming junior or senior from the state of Georgia.

The Jordan Jones and Goulding Scholarship was established in 2000 by JJG to preferably award outstanding Juniors or Seniors demonstrating financial need interested in a career path in engineering consulting.

Kathy and Carl E. Hofstadter Scholarship

The Kathy and Carl E. Hofstadter Scholarship was established by the Hofstadter’s to be given to outstanding juniors or seniors majoring in CEE. Carl Hofstadter is a 1977 CE alum who owns Hofstadter & Associates in Macon, GA.

Louis and Viola T. Dozier Scholarship

The Louis S. and Viola T. Dozier Scholarship was established by the Dozier family in memory of Louis who was a 1932 graduate of Civil Engineering at Georgia Tech. The Dozier Scholarship is awarded to a CEE student with preference given to a co-op student.

Philip D. Jory Memorial Scholarship

The Philip D. Jory Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Philip D. Jory a 1958 graduate from the College of Management. The Jory Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding junior or senior with preference given to a Geosystems Engineer in CEE as well as having demonstrated outstanding leadership and extra-curricular activities.

Samuel P. Bratton Scholarship

The Samuel P. Bratton Scholarship was created through the estate of Mr. Bratton, a 1923 Georgia Tech grad. Recipients are selected by the Office of Student Financial Planning & Services based on their financial need, scholastic achievement, and extracurricular activities. Candidates should have a minimum 3.0 grade point average overall and a combined SAT score of 1200 or more.

Thomas S. Lucas Memorial Scholarship

The Thomas S. Lucas Memorial Scholarship is awarded from the endowment established by James H. Lucas, professor emeritus of the School of Civil Engineering, in memory of his father. Awards are made to worthy students majoring in Civil Engineering. The selection of recipients is by the Office of Student Financial Planning & Services, and is based on scholastic ability and need.

William McCoy Sangster Scholarship

The William McCoy Sangster Scholarship was created by Bill Sangster – a man who devoted nearly 30 years of service to Georgia Tech as director of the School of Civil Engineering, dean of the College of Engineering, director of International Programs, and Tech's faculty representative to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

Recipient preference is given to rising juniors in Civil and Environmental Engineering who are children of single parents or who are single parents themselves. Recipients are selected by Office of Student Financial Planning and Services with approval of Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

This scholarship was established in 2004 by Lyn and John Wylder who are both Tech alums. The Wylder Scholarship is given to an outstanding student in Civil and Environmental Engineering who displays financial need.

The Gene Boyd Vulcan Materials Fellowship was established in honor of Gene Boyd who was the President of the Southeast Division of Vulcan Materials. The recipient of the Gene Boyd Vulcan Materials Fellowship should be a GeoSystems student who has made a positive contribution in the area of crushed stone.

The Georgia Power Fellowship is awarded to an Environmental Engineering student who provides power/ industry focus emphasizing research on air, land and water quality topics.

The Professor James Ting-Shun Wang Fellowship was established in 2001 by Elaine Woo Wang in honor of her late husband who taught in the School of Engineering Sciences and Mechanics and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering from 1961-2000. This fellowship is to be given to an outstanding student in CEE with preference given to a student with an interest in mechanics.

Development Consultants Group Outstanding Student Award

Development Consultants Group (DCG) has established an outstanding student award in CEE. Since 1985, DCG has been providing civil engineering, land planning and land surveying expertise to real estate developers and others in metro Atlanta and Georgia.
The DCG Award is given to juniors or seniors who are planning to pursue a career in land development engineering. This is an award for which the students must apply.

Kimley-Horn Award

Kimley-Horn has been a long-time partner with CEE at Georgia Tech. Kimley-Horn provides a wide range of consulting services to public and private clients for planning and engineering of the "built environment", including roadways and bridges, land developments, traffic signals, water/sewer systems, airports, landscape architecture, and transit systems. The recipient of the Kimley-Horn Award is merit based and preferably given to a Senior or Graduate Student pursuing a consulting career. Beside academic excellence, the student should possess outstanding leadership skills and be involved in campus activities.

Walter P. Moore Graduate Student Award

The Walter P. Moore Graduate Student Award is another strong industry partner with CEE at Georgia Tech. The Walter P. Moore Award recipient is a graduate student who has a minimum GPA of 3.5 and exhibits an interest in consulting structural engineering.
